BETWEEN US
Art That Connects
Our exhibition has been developed to showcase the plurality of voices in contemporary figurative art and portraiture in Aotearoa New Zealand by exploring the rich themes of identity and lived experience.
We hope to expand audience appreciation for the genres of figurative art and portraiture, and foster greater expression and connection in our communities.
EXPLORING THE THEME
IDENTITY AND LIVED EXPERIENCE
In BETWEEN US, the artists explore 'Identity and Lived Experience in Aotearoa New Zealand'.
We reflect on the notions of self, community, belonging and the embodied experience. We aim to foster expression and connection within Aotearoa New Zealand.

Our Venue Hosts
DEPOT Artspace provides a vibrant setting for our collective exhibition, enhancing engagement between artists and community.
The venue is located an easy walk from the Auckland to Devonport ferry terminal, with ample parking nearby for those driving.
Devonport offers a wide variety of cafes and restaurants, beaches, playgrounds and nature walks (Takarunga Mount Victoria and Maunguika North Head), a public library, specialty and convenience shops, and sites of national historical significance like the Torpedo Bay Navy Museum (National Museum of the RNZN).
Thank You
The organizers would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of the artists, hosts, curators, directors, supporters, sponsors, contributors, and the audience who have helped to bring this exhibition to life.
