Art That Connects
Our exhibition has been developed to showcase the plurality of voices in contemporary figurative art and portraiture in Aotearoa New Zealand by exploring the rich themes of identity and lived experience.
It is also our hope that the exhibition helps to expand audience appreciation for the genres of figurative art and portraiture, and that it fosters greater expression and connection in our communities.

In BETWEEN US, we invited artists to explore the theme of 'Identity and Lived Experience' in Aotearoa New Zealand.
We aim to reflect on the notions of self and community, and to foster expression and connection within Aotearoa New Zealand.

We have invited participating artists to contribute a small portion of their proceeds from this show to the New Zealand Mental Health Foundation. If you would also like to contribute, follow the link. With our support, every dollar spent is a life improved.
Our Venue
DEPOT Gallery provides a vibrant setting for our collective exhibition, enhancing engagement between artists and community.
The gallery is located an easy walk from the Auckland to Devonport ferry terminal, with ample parking nearby for those driving.
Devonport offers a wide variety of cafes and restaurants, beaches, playgrounds and nature walks (Takarunga Mount Victoria and Maunguika North Head), a public library, specialty and convenience shops, and sites of national historical significance like the Torpedo Bay Navy Museum (National Museum of the RNZN).
